Gracious Grounds, Eye Care One & the Spring Lake Country Club are excited to welcome Amy Bockerstette, an American collegiate golfer and disabilities advocate with Down syndrome. Amy is the first person with Down syndrome to receive an athletic scholarship to attend college.

As a representative of Special Olympics Arizona, Bockerstette was invited by the PGA Tour to play the par-3 16th hole at TCP Scottsdale with professional golfer Gary Woodland and playing partner Matt Kucher during a Tuesday practice round at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. After hitting her tee shot into a green side bunker, Bockerstette parred the hole in front of a roaring crowd, stating “I got this!”. The video capturing the moment has since gone viral, receiving 43 million views across various social media platforms.
Gracious Grounds invites any and all individuals, businesses, and organizations to participate in this event. The format will include a 4-player scramble, shotgun start, with on course games and prizes. Box lunches will be provided to all participants and volunteers, with hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and auction to follow the golf.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please email if you are interested in being a sponsor.  All proceeds raised from this event will directly benefit Gracious Grounds and support their mission to provide housing opportunities to individuals with unique abilities within the Tri-Cities.
