Gracious Grounds is independent housing.
We provide light support through our Resident Assistants that live at each property. However, they do not provide 24-hr care and are typically on campus in the evenings and overnight.
During the day on weekdays, staff is available if needed, but residents should be able to do most problem solving on their own.

Gracious Grounds properties are located on the Eastside of Grand Haven which is generally considered a safe area. The safety of our residents is always top-of-mind, and each property has standard safety protocols in place.

Each property has protocols in place in case of a property/building or resident emergency, and each resident profile must contain emergency contact(s).

Gracious Grounds properties are all within walking or biking distance of three major food centers along with banks, pharmacies, restaurants, parks—and don’t forget, Lake Michigan beaches are less than two miles away!

Gracious Grounds does not provide daily transportation, however residents have access to Harbor Transit, the local bus service provider for Grand Haven, Ferrysburg & Spring Lake. This is door-to-door service with standard hours during the week and limited hours during the weekend.

Depending on which Gracious Grounds property you are on, costs currently range between $950-$1,000 per month.
Utilities are included at both our Despelder and Ohio street locations.

No. Gracious Grounds is private pay. We do not currently take any money from government programs.
